Head of Analytics and Product Development,
David has 20 years’ experience in banking and finance, covering structured finance, mortgages, financial engineering, risk management, financial modelling and data management.
At AMAL Trustees, David’s responsibilities include developing and maintaining trust management and facility agency models for securitisation and syndicated loan transactions, as well as supporting clients with risk modelling, forecasting and scenario analysis.
Across a variety of banking, advisory and issuer roles, David has been involved in developing and managing a diverse range of transactions, funding structures and analytic products, often focusing on unusual, innovative or complex structures, or higher-risk assets.
Associate Director, Securitisation Origination,
National Australia Bank
Dong has been at National Australia Bank for eight years, having worked across Australia, New Zealand and Hong Kong covering various debt products.
Dong is currently an Associate Director in the Securitisation Originations team based in Australia, predominantly working on RMBS and ABS transactions for various ADI and non-ADI issuers.
In his time at NAB, Dong has also had experience in the broader DCM space in both Hong Kong and New Zealand.
Prior to National Australia Bank, Dong had brief spells at KWM and Aitken Partners working in the areas of corporate banking and finance, M&A and commercial litigation.
Dong holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from the University of Melbourne, and is a member of the Future Leaders and Young Professionals Subcommittee.
Structured Capital Markets, ANZ
Gary joined ANZ in 2002 with over 25 years experience in banking, including over 20 years in the capital markets. Gary is part of a dynamic team that has responsibility for securitisation solutions for bank clients across private (warehousing) and public issuance funding.
He has experience across a range of collateral types in various jurisdictions, including Australia, the US, UK and NZ. Prior to joining ANZ, Gary had various roles as an issuer and originator with Colonial State bank, CBA and Credit Suisse.
Gary is an active member of the ASF through committee membership (such as the Education Subcommittee and the Industry & Markets Subcommittee) and lecturing. His natural lecturing style is energetic with a strong focus, combining detailed technical understanding with practical examples drawn from extensive market experience.
Structured Capital Markets, ANZ
Geoffrey works in the Structured Capital Markets team at ANZ where his clients cover the residential mortgage, asset backed and trade receivable sectors.
He has experience in originating and arranging warehouse and term transactions across all major asset classes for financial institutions and major corporates.
Prior to ANZ Geoffrey worked at Babcock & Brown (originating securitisation and leasing assets for a Singapore listed debt fund) and Societe Generale (arranging securitisation and structured credit transactions).
Heather has worked for Deloitte for 15 years in the Sydney, New York and London offices. She has extensive experience of working with financial institutions and banks over this period, focusing on securitisation, structured finance, covered bonds, originating and servicing clients for both audits and advisory projects and focuses in particular on specialist lending institutions.
Heather is a Partner in the Audit and Advisory Group specialising in securitisation, structured finance and retail banking, including the introduction of securitisation issuance, credit origination and management, application of cashflow waterfalls and servicing of assets.
Heather is Treasurer of the ASF's National Committee, Chair of the Audit & Risk Subcommittee and the Accounting & Tax Subcommittee, and a member of the Education Subcommittee, as well as presenting the accounting and tax components of our education offerings.
Allen & Overy
Jamie is a debt capital markets lawyer with a particular focus on securitisation and other secured and structured transactions as well as senior unsecured transactions. He has experience securitising a wide variety of asset classes including residential and commercial mortgages, autos and equipment, credit cards, trade receivables and mobile phone handset receivables.
Jamie acts on capital raisings both domestically and offshore, including into the U.S., U.K. and European markets, and has extensive experience acting for all participants involved in such transactions including sponsors, lead managers and trustees.
Director, Structured Capital Markets
Jordan is a Director in the Structured Capital Markets team at Australia & New Zealand Banking Group with over 8 years of experience in the Australian securitisation market.During this time he has worked with a number of the leading automotive and equipment ABS issuers, a diverse range of prime RMBS issuers across the ADI and Non-Bank sector and various other asset classes.
His role is focused on structuring appropriate securitisation funding solutions utilising both bank funded warehousing and public primary market issuance.
Jordan was also a founding member of the ASF’s Future Leaders and Young Professionals Subcommittee and a regular presenter for the ASF since 2017.
Partner, Allen & Overy
Karolina is a partner at Allen & Overy with over 17 years experience in the Australian securitisation industry. She is a capital markets lawyer and her expertise spans across the entire debt capital markets, specialising in securitisation and covered bonds.
She has significant experience across residential mortgage-backed and other asset-backed securities in domestic, US (both SEC-registered and Rule 144A offerings) and Euro markets, acting for all participants involved including originators, issuers, trustees and investors.
Karolina sits on the ASF's Education Subcommittee, is part of the ASF's Regulatory & Prudential Subcommittee, and is also involved in the development and delivery of the legal and regulatory sessions of our courses.
Co-Founder and Investment Manager,
Realm Investment House
With over 20 years of market experience, Robert is well known and regarded in the domestic financial markets where he has held senior fund management positions. Robert has also chaired and sat on a number of peak industry committees and task forces.
As a Senior Manager, Credit for Aviva Investors, Robert was also a key input to the management of $3.5 billion in debt assets, and liaised with the equities team in the management of $6 billion of assets in this sector.
Robert has a strong grass roots understanding of the market, with embedded relationships across issuers, regulators and other market participants. Robert's key strength is in asset discovery and bottom up credit assessment. This has underpinned Robert's approach as a fixed income money manager.
Partner, Clayton Utz
Sonia Goumenis is a Sydney-based partner of Clayton Utz, a leading Australian firm with a long history at the forefront of the securitisation market. Sonia also spent 3 years as a founding partner of the Sydney office of a leading global firm.
Sonia has spent close to 15 years specialising in securitisation and capital markets transactions. She acts for a range of participants in domestic and cross-border transactions, including sponsors, arrangers, facility providers, investors and trustees. Sonia also has experience across a broad range of asset classes.
National Australia Bank
Stephen is a Director in the Securitisation team at NAB and covers both warehousing and public term issuance for a number of clients. He has worked in finance for over 20 years and has significant experience in the UK, European and Australian markets.
He has worked in almost every securitisation asset class including RMBS, CMBS, ABS, CDOs, SIVs and corporate securitisations.
Prior to working at NAB, Stephen was at Standard & Poor’s and has considerable experience in credit analysis and structuring.
