On Tuesday 8 September, the ASF welcomed over 100 guests to the offices of BNY in Singapore for an update on the Australian securitisation market, followed by networking cocktails.
The seminar opened with an outlook for the Australian economy and housing markets, examining macro trends influencing the Australian economy, economic growth, household debt and the Reserve Bank of Australia’s interest rate strategy, presented by Vishrut Rana (S&P Global Ratings).
Next, an update on Australian residential mortgage securities explored mortgage market dynamics following tax reforms, together with RMBS credit performance and relative value. The panel was moderated by Natasha Vojvodic (Fitch Ratings).
