At the ASF Conference Gala Dinner in Sydney on Wednesday, 26 November, the ASF was delighted to award ASF Fellowship to Will Farrant.
Fellowship recognises individuals who have worked within a member organisation, demonstrated extensive experience in securitisation, made a substantial contribution to the ASF, and actively advanced the securitisation or covered bond markets in Australia.
Will is a Partner at Ares Management where he focuses on alternative credit and asset-based finance. Before joining Ares in 2023, he was Managing Director of the Securitised Products Group at Credit Suisse, responsible for APAC.
His involvement with the ASF began during his time at Credit Suisse, where he became a key member of our education faculty generously contributing his time to deliver both the Securitisation Fundamentals and Professional courses. He joined the ASF National Committee in 2016, served three terms, and was elected Chairperson in 2020.
Throughout his career, Will has played an instrumental role in the development of Australia’s securitisation market—supporting new entrants, guiding inaugural transactions, and helping build funding solutions for emerging asset classes. At Ares, he continues to champion market growth through alternative credit solutions.
Will has provided exceptional leadership to the ASF and has represented the industry with distinction, offering valuable insights to regulators and policymakers.
